First Tennessee Bank and the First Tennessee Foundation have partnered with the Hunter Worley Foundation to support families of the children involved in the Woodmore tragedy. Donations will be accepted at any First Tennessee branch across Tennessee.
Donations will be matched dollar for dollar by First Tennessee, up to a maximum of $10,000. The Hunter Worley Foundation will administer the donations to cover unpaid funeral expenses and provide immediate crisis assistance, ongoing living needs, education support, pastoral and psychological support and networking. 100% of the donations to the Hunter Worley Foundation are committed to these services. There is no administrative fee involved.
First Tennessee’s Chattanooga market leader Jeff Jackson said, “At times like these, people come together in extraordinary ways to make a difference. We hope that making the donation process easier and matching these contributions will be impactful for what is certainly going to be a long road for so many. We want these families to know that we are with them every step of the way.”
In addition to partnering with the Hunter Worley Foundation, First Tennessee is also accepting donations at all Chattanooga branches that will go to the Community Foundation of Greater Chattanooga to support the Woodmore families.
Mr. Jackson said, “From supporting very specific needs to meeting the more general ones, First Tennessee is positioned to make the donation and gifting process much easier. We are humbled to be able to help in this tragic situation.
“Our thoughts and prayers not only go out to the children, families, and staff who’ve experienced this tragedy but also to the first responders and others who’ve done so much in a short amount of time."
