Passenger Killed In Early-Morning Wreck On Wilcox Boulevard; Charges Pending Against Driver

A passenger was killed in a wreck on Wilcox Boulevard early Saturday morning and the driver is facing charges.
 
At 1:59 a.m., the Chattanooga Police Traffic Division responded to a single-vehicle crash at 3100 Wilcox Blvd. The following are the releasable facts of that ongoing investigation:
 

The vehicle was traveling southeast on Wilcox Boulevard when it left the right side of the roadway and struck a light pole, then a tree.

During the course of the crash, the passenger was ejected from the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at Erlanger Hospital.

Bobby L. Seely, 43, was taken into custody on unrelated charges.

Police said further charges are pending against him.

The Chattanooga Police Traffic Division is still investigating the incident.
