Alliance Physical Therapy Partners With Telehealth Solutions Provider

  • Tuesday, October 25, 2016

Beginning this week, 10 Alliance Physical Therapy locations are piloting Docity’s telehealth solutions to improve outcomes and increase patient satisfaction.

“Through online scheduling and convenient appointments, Docity provides physical therapists and office staff the means to optimize patient engagement with live, secure face-to-face communication”, said Allan Valenzuela, president of Alliance. Alliance’s network of physical therapists will be able to screen patients from afar through smartphones and tablets and patients with questions will be able to see someone conveniently.

“There has been little effective application of tele-PT,” Mr. Valenzuela said. “We look forward to pioneering this cutting edge practice with Docity. We are confident that our physical therapist and patients will benefit from the time-sensitive convenience of tele-PT.”

James Cowan, Docity CEO, said these turnkey telemedicine solutions would directly better physical therapist-patient interaction, leading the way to grow Alliance’s patient base.

“Often it’s difficult for professionals who have sustained an injury to put their busy lifestyle on hold,” Mr. Cowan said. “It’s time-consuming to leave work and drive all the way to the PT.  Docity affords patients the opportunity to receive PT from their homes or workplaces.”

Alliance is utilizing the Docity Plus package. It’s HIPAA compliant, encrypted and secured.

“Docity provides cutting-edge technology to aid physical therapists in their practices,” Mr. Cowan said. “We look forward to seeing how our partnership with Alliance will benefit physical therapists and patients alike in the Chattanooga-area and beyond.”
