The Chattanooga Airport continues to get busier and is headed for its third year in a row of record enplanements, president Terry Hart said.

He said for September, Delta was up five percent, American up four percent, and Allegiant up 13 percent.

Plus, new flights were launched by United on Sept. 7 to Chicago and Newark. Mr. Hart said the Chicago flights are about 80 percent full and the Newark flights between 50-55 percent and improving.

He said the airlines are also using larger jets to fly out of Chattanooga, including 150 seaters.

Additional cargo freight is going in and out of the Airport as well.

Robert Belcher of Elliott Davis Decosimo said the Airport had $18 million in revenues for the year just audited. He listed $6.4 million income from operations.

Equity is up by $9 million at the Airport and the debt was paid down by $700,000.
