5 People Die In House Fire At Bryant, Ala.

Five people died at a house fire at Bryant, Ala., around midnight Friday.

The tragic blaze was at a house on County Road 296.

Authorities listed the deceased as Carolyn Quarles, 63; Kimberly Alexander, 34; Tony Alexander 42; Breanna Alexander, 8, and Emily Alexander, 6.

Carolyn Cooper Quarles lived with her daughter Kim and her husband, Tony Alexander, and their two  daughters.  

The family had just celebrated Christmas after losing Carolyn's mother, Mary Cooper, a few days before Christmas. 

Responding were fire crews from Bryant, Flat Rock and Higdon.

The investigation is by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office and the State Fire Marshal.
