Court collections in East Ridge are up 63 percent under Judge Cris Helton, officials said.

Collections for Sept. 1, 2013 to Sept. 1, 2014 were $198,473.86.

Since taking office from Sept. 1, 2014 to Sept. 1, 2015 collections were $314,875.72.

Also during the first two weeks of February East Ridge Court will be going live on the CJUS system so that East Ridge will be tied in with the county.

Judge Helton said, "This will enable district attorneys in General Sessions Court, Criminal Court and East Ridge to see what is going on in each other's courts to be able to enter appropriate dispositions in all cases."
