A UTC student who got in trouble climbing the Brooklyn Bridge and taking a selfie last summer has been released from jail.

David Karnauch appeared before a judge in New York City on Monday.

His attorney, Joseph Indusi, said he will ask that the case be dismissed prior to it coming back up in November.

He said the city still has not put up signs in the area where the climb took place saying it is illegal.

Karnauch had been extradited from Chattanooga.
