28th Annual Taster’s Luncheon Is Sept. 12

The chapter’s 28th Annual Taster’s Luncheon to benefit the Walter E. Boehm Birth Defect Center takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 7111 Lee Highway. This event not only provides hors d’oeuvres, salads and desserts, but includes a fashion show with clothing by the Dress Barn, a $100 cash drawing, a Chinese auction (tickets 20 for $5) as well as a bidding auction.  

Doors open at 10 a.m. The luncheon starts at 11:30 a.m. After all are seated, the fashion show begins.  Only those attendees who have bought their ticket in advance and have it in hand at the door are eligible to win the $100 cash drawing – one winner will be drawn at the event. Chinese Auction items are valued between $25-$50 each.

The show, emceed by local celebrity Jed Mescon, will be captioned for attendees with hearing loss.

Kohl’s Cares for Kids provides assistance at the event.
