The man who attacked and injured Bradley County Deputy Tiffany Oakley at her home early on Tuesday, has a lengthy record of arrests locally, the Bradley County Sheriff's Office said. Deputy Oakley shot and killed the intruder.

Beginning in 2010 and running through the next five years, Allan F. White III, 23, has numerous charges, authorities said.

They include domestic assault, vandalism, resisting arrest, sale and delivery of marijuana, harassment, theft over $10,000, aggravated assault, theft over $1,000, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of probation, intimidation, motor vehicle theft, larceny, burglary, as well as simple assault. Currently, White III has three outstanding felony warrants dating back over a year.

Tuesday morning, White III encountered Deputy Oakley at her home at approximately 2 a.m.  The sheriff's office said the deputy attempted to speak with him as to why he was on foot, on the property.

At that time, a fight ensued, with White, III attempting to choke and smother Deputy Oakley "as she struggled for her life after unsuccessfully employing her non-lethal Taser on him. As White, III struck her and pressed his hands around her face and neck, she utilized the final means to save her life, her service weapon."
