Tyrick Johnson, 19, Shot On Vance Avenue

Tyrick Johnson, 19, was shot on Sunday evening on Vance Avenue.

Around 6:28 p.m. Chattanooga police officers were dispatched to 911 Clifton Place on the report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, officers located Mr. Johnson who stated he was on Vance Avenue, heard gun shots and realized he was shot.

He stated he then ran to where police later located him at the 900 block of Clifton Place. His single wound was non-life-threatening and he was subsequently treated and released at a local hospital. 

The original call from dispatch was to 911 Clifton Place, but further investigation and canvassing identified the specific location of the incident to be 2305 Vance Avenue.  Mr. Johnson stated he did not see anyone and was unable to provide any suspect information.

 

Clifton Place runs between Vance Avenue and Anderson Avenue.
