Charles Litton Massey
Charles Litton Massey, 85, of Chattanooga, died on Tuesday, June 29, 2015 in a local health care facility.
Mr. Massey was born in Harriman on July 23, 1929, was retired from TVA after 33 years of service as an engineer, and was a charter member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church. He was an avid golfer, devoted father, and was known as a very generous man.
Mr. Massey was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Bobbie, and by his daughter, Susan Massey Gray.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret K. Mayfield of Elizabethton, Tn; daughter, Carol (Percy) Gann, of Chattanooga; granddaughters, Courtney (Scott) Donely of Atlanta and Melani (Tim) Chan of Cambodia; grandsons, Evan Gray of Signal Mountain, Charlie (Jessica) Gann of Columbia, Tn., and Will (Jillian) Gann of Edgewater, Fl.; seven great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, at the Ashland Terrace Christian Church. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. A private burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Cambodian Mission at Ashland Terrace Christian Church, 915 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
