3 People Shot In Separate Incidents In Chattanooga On Saturday

Three people were shot in separate incidents on Saturday in Chattanooga.  

The Chattanooga Police Department said the first shooting occurred in the Brainerd area at approximately noon.

A 24-year-old black male arrived at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. The victim stated he was driving in his vehicle somewhere in Brainerd when he was shot.

The victim was identified as Thadius Montgomery.

Officers are continuing to search for the location of the incident. There is no available suspect information at this time.

Chattanooga Police responded to the second shooting at approximately 1:35 p.m. to 3100 3rd Ave. for a person shot.

Gary Mitchell, 50, was transported to a local hospital for a gunshot wound. He is in stable but critical condition at this time.

The third incident was reported at 10:51 p.m. when Raven S. Hilt, 19, arrived at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

Her injuries are non-life threatening.

The shooting happened at 700 North Orchard Knob Ave.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding these crimes to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
