Gregory Wayne Finley
A man who admitted distributing over 60 pounds of "Ice" meth in Chattanooga has been sentenced to serve 24 years and four months in federal prison.
Gregory Wayne Finley, 44, appeared before Federal Judge Sandy Mattice.
Chattanooga Police on Jan. 21, 2014, served a search warrant on a room at the Comfort Inn and Suites on Shallowford Road. A confidential informant, who said he had seen meth in the room before, was sent into the room with a listening device and $4,000 in cash to buy four ounces of meth.
After a takedown signal was given, officers went into the room and found Finley inside with four other people. Baggies of meth were found in the shower, on the floor, in the purse of Carol Stoner (Finley's girlfriend), and in an Adidas bag.
The meth seized from the room totaled over 222 grams.
In Finley's Ford F-150 truck, officers found three bags of "Ice" meth weighing approximately 4.9 pounds. Police found $23,661 in a money bag.
Finley said he had been distributing meth in Chattanooga since the spring of 2013.
