A winter weather advisory is once again in effect for the Chattanooga area and schools are closing after Chattanoogans awoke to a layer of snow and tricky road conditions.
The W Road and Roberts Mill Road on Signal Mountain have been closed to traffic due to icy conditions. Secondary roads on the mountain have been reported as hazardous.
Roy Exum on Lookout Mountain said,"We have less than an inch of snow, but the roads are covered and are slick. Temperature is 23 at 7:30 a.m."
Bill Lusk on Signal Mountain said, "Conditions are good and much better than downtown. We pretreated our major and arterial roads yesterday so no problems to report. About ½ inch of snow on grass; very little on solid surfaces."
