Jerrquita McMath
Police said a woman on the Walmart trespass list for prior shoplifting was back in the Brainerd store.
A loss prevention officer said he saw Jerrquita McMath trying to leave with $20 in merchandise.
She gave police a false name after officers were summoned.
She was taken to the county jail on charges of theft under $500, criminal impersonation and criminal trespass. She was also wanted on several warrants from General Sessions Court and Criminal Court.
Ms. McMath has been arrested some 20 times since 2010, including for attempted first-degree murder. That charge was dismissed, and she got a six-year suspended sentence for aggravated assault.

Esperanza Ayala was charged with theft under $500. An employee at the Rugged Warehouse on Gunbarrel Road said she saw her switching multiple price tags.
She said Ms. Ayala would put a lower price tag on a higher-priced item. The difference in the items amounted to $126.86.
Police said she had no valid license and could only produce a passport. She said she had been living in Chattanooga for five years.
She was also hauled to jail.

On a frigid night, police went to the homeless camp under the bridge on Broad Street over Chattanooga Creek.
Henry Knotts and Bobby Broadie were offered rides to the shelter on 11th Street.
Knotts took up the offer and was taken to a warm area.
Broadie would not budge.

Kay Oldham said her mother recently died at Alexian Village on Signal Mountain.
She said apparently someone took her credit card from a bedside table.
She said there were 86 charges on the card amounting to $1,300.

Chris Elliott of N. Concord Road said he went out to warm up his company vehicle. He then went back inside for a few minutes, leaving the keys in the unlocked black 2012 Chevrolet Equinox.
When he got back out, the vehicle belonging to Siskin Steel and Supply was gone.

A woman said she left her car parked across from the Sports Barn downtown while she went to exercise.
When she returned, she found that her passenger window had been broken out.
Her purse, that was on the floorboard, was taken.
