Fire damaged a vacant home in Alton Park on Christmas Day.

At 8:54 p.m., the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2054 Ansley Dr. It took five fire companies about 10 minutes to get the fire under control.

When fire companies arrived on the scene of the structure smoke was visible from the outside. Firefighters made entry and located the fire in the hallway and closet.
The fire was
contained to this area of the residence.

There were no injuries and a fire investigator was called due to this being a vacant structure.

At this time the fire is still under investigation by the Fire Investigation Division.
