A man has been arrested after he fired shots at a vehicle in the Holly Hills subdivision on Monday.
Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies met with Kennedy Nalley, who reported that earlier, while in her vehicle in the 8100 block of Holly Crest Drive, someone shot at her.
Ms. Nalley stated she had dropped off a friend in Holly Hills and was leaving when a man stepped out in the roadway and began questioning her through her car window. Ms. Nalley said he asked her if she had seen three guys walking or driving. When Ms. Nalley said she had just dropped off a friend, the male quickly pulled out a gun and pointed it toward her car. Ms. Nalley said when she realized what was happening, she took off, at which time she heard the male shoot her car.
The 2009 Lincoln MKZ that Ms. Nalley was driving had four visible bullet marks.
The investigation led deputies to Mykhael Hicks of 8166 Holly Crest Dr. Hicks admitted to firing his weapon at Ms. Nalley’s car.
According to Hicks, he had returned to the residence and observed three people breaking into his vehicle which was parked in the driveway. Hicks said the trio fled when he said he would get a gun.
Hicks reported that afterward he saw a vehicle traveling on Holly Crest Drive. Hicks said he flagged the vehicle down and questioned the driver as to what she was doing. Hicks said the driver then began to drive away at which time he fired a pistol that he was carrying at the vehicle.
Hicks initially stated the reason he fired his weapon was because he was in fear that Ms. Nalley’s car was going to hit him, and then he changed his statement saying that he was firing at the vehicle in order to disable it so that he could call the police.
This shooting took place in a residential neighborhood with multiple dwellings which endangered residents of nearby homes, police said.
Based upon the evidence and statements given, Hicks was arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
He was charged with aggravated assault, felony reckless endangerment, and vandalism over $1,000 and unlawful carrying of a weapon. His bond was set at $45,000.
No further information is available at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
