  • Monday, December 21, 2015

Special agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, working alongside the Metro Nashville Police Department, have arrested and charged a Hermitage man accused of using online advertisements to solicit underage minors for sex.

While working in an undercover capacity, a TBI agent responded last Tuesday to an online advertisement posted by James Robert Robinson. During the course of their conversation, Robinson agreed to meet the agent, whom he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, at a location in Antioch for the purpose of sex.

On Saturday, Robinson arrived to the location on Bell Road, where the 39-year-old was arrested by TBI agents and officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department and charged with one count of aggravated solicitation of a minor to commit aggravated statutory rape. He was subsequently booked into the Davidson County Jail on $25,000 bond.
