Love Gives Wheels Sets Goal Of 400 Bikes For Children In Need

  • Wednesday, December 2, 2015

Love Gives Wheels, led by Dynamic Church, will host an event to bring awareness to an unmet need in the city by hosting a 36-hour bike donation drive on Friday and Saturday.

Dynamic Church is committed to do something a little unconventional in efforts to deliver hundreds of Christmas dreams this Christmas Season through the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program, said officials. Staff members from the church will live in a 40 foot lift throughout the duration of the event in an effort to raise awareness.

Meeting this year's goal of 400 bikes would aid in allowing the Salvation Army to provide a bike for every child that requests one through the Angel Tree Program.

The Love Gives Wheels Event is scheduled to begin Friday at 6 a.m. and end Saturday at 6 p.m. The event will be hosted at the Walmart at 2020 Gunbarrel Road.

The purchasing price of a bike is $50.  Participants can give at the event or by giving online at LoveGivesWheels.com
