Whitfield County Sheriff's Office Seeks Information On Home Invasion Armed Robbery Suspect

The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigating are investigating a home invasion that occurred on Wednesday, around 3:45 a.m.

The incident happened at a residence in the Rocky Face area where an 85-year old male lived alone. The victim reported that he heard a noise in his kitchen and went to investigate. At that time he encountered a white male in the kitchen. The suspect restrained the victim with masking tape and proceeded to rob the victim’s residence of firearms and other items. The suspect then placed the stolen items in the victim’s vehicle and stole the vehicle.

The vehicle is a silver 1992 Buick Regal with Ga. Tag # PPA7378.

After the suspect left, the victim went to a residence nearby and notified law enforcement. The victim was bruised but did not need medical attention.

On Thursday, a sketch artist from the GBI did a sketch of the suspect as described by the victim. The suspect was described as in mid-20’s, 5’10”, 160 pounds, with short brown hair.

The victim’s vehicle is still missing.
