Jeffrey Isbell Arrested On Assault, Reckless Endangerment Charges

Jeffrey Isbell, 50, was arrested on Wednesday on multiple charges stemming from an incident in East Ridge. 

The Chattanooga Police Department requested East Ridge Police Department to check the vicinity of 3315 Frawley St. on Wednesday for any signs of shots being fired.

Chattanooga Police were with the victim of a domestic violence assault by her boyfriend, Isbell. The assault occurred in East Ridge, but the victim returned to her home in Chattanooga before calling police.

She stated Isbell struck her, fired several rounds in the air and keyed her car during the altercation.

Officers located several spent casings lying in the grass near Isbell’s apartment. Several neighbors confirmed hearing several shots near Isbell’s residence.

While officers were locating the crime scene, Chattanooga Police performed a traffic stop on Isbell near the victim’s residence. He was in possession of a firearm matching the caliber of the spent rounds.

Isbell was charged with aggravated assault, aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment.

The initial court date is Dec. 29 in East Ridge City Court.
