NLRB Deciding On UAW Election At Chattanooga VW Plant

  • Tuesday, November 3, 2015

The National Labor Relations Board held a hearing Tuesday morning in Chattanooga on the issue of allowing the United Auto Workers to hold an election for about 165 skilled trades workers.

The hearing at the Federal Courthouse will continue on Wednesday.

Volkswagen officials said Monday they oppose such an election, saying it goes against the company's One Team approach to labor relations.

The UAW earlier narrowly lost an election at the Chattanooga VW plant.
