The long history of Hutcheson Medical Center in Fort Oglethorpe is set to be Dec. 4 as the bankrupt facility will officially close.
Officials said the last day for in-patient care at the hospital that has long served Catoosa, Walker and Dade counties will be Friday.

The hospital's Battlefield Parkway Ambulatory Care Center is winding down chemo and radiation
treatments.
The chemo treatments are set to end on Dec. 4.
Officials are seeking a waiver from the state to continue the radiation treatments through Dec. 18.
Bidders for the hospital are set to attend a meeting for a possible sale of the hospital at a lawyer's office in Atlanta.
However, standing in the way are heavy debts owed to Regions Bank and Erlanger Health System.
