Urban League Hosts Annual Job Fair Nov. 12

The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga is hosting its Annual Job Fair on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at its headquarters located 730 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. Area residents seeking employment or a career change are invited to attend to connect with 30 employers seeking to fill over 400 job openings within the Greater Chattanooga/ NW Georgia area.
 
“Our annual job fair is a great opportunity for job seekers to connect with local employers in some of our area’s fastest growing fields, like healthcare, manufacturing, telecommunications, banking, customer service, and so many more,” said Ronni Pruitt, Urban League’s Director of Workforce Development and Talent Management.

The Urban League Job Fair is free and open to the public; however, registration is required. Job seekers are encouraged to wear business attire and bring multiple copies of their resumes.
The Urban League will host free workshops this week to assist job seekers with their resumes and also to prepare them for interviews. Interview preparation workshops will be held on Tuesday and Thursday, from 3-5 p.m. at the Urban League. The resume workshop will be held on Friday, from 4–6 p.m.
