Collegedale Police were dispatched on Thursday to a theft that had occurred at a retail business on Apison Pike.
As one officer was arriving on scene, another officer in the area spotted the suspect vehicle traveling south on Ooltewah Ringgold Road. The driver refused to pull over after the officer activated his emergency equipment. A vehicle pursuit ensued down Ooltewah Ringgold Road to the 2400 block, where the driver and passenger finally pulled into a driveway and were taken into custody.
An inventory of the car yielded stolen hunting knives and tools, along with various crack pipes and drug residues.
The driver, Bradley Scott Gribble, has been charged with theft of property (conduct involving merchandise), felony evading, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The passenger, Susan Rae Crow, was also charged with having unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Officials expressed their thanks to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance with the vehicle pursuit, and providing backup during the apprehension.
