Man, 20, Killed As Chattanooga Shooting Rampage Continues; 3 Hit Overnight

A Chattanooga shooting rampage continued with three people hit overnight. Then Percy Allen, 20, was shot and killed at East Lake Courts early Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1 p.m. Chattanooga Police responded to the 2200 block of East 28th Street on a report of a shooting. Police located Allen inside a residence. He succumbed to his injuries on the scene.

Violent Crime investigators and Crime Scene technicians are working to determine the facts surrounding the incident.

At this time there is no suspect information.

Dewan Heard, 26, was shot Monday night on Wilson Street. 

At approximately 9:07 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to the 2300 block of Wilson Street on the report of a shooting.

Heard suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. He was transported to a local hospital. He did not identify a suspect.

Violent Crimes investigators are attempting to determine a motive to this incident.

Then at approximately 1 a.m. Chattanooga Police responded to a local hospital on the report of gunshot victims arriving by personal vehicles. Two victims were found being treated for non-life-threatening wounds.

Thomas Simmons, 19, was shot in the wrist and Antonio Watkins, 21, was hit in the buttocks.

Neither victim identified a suspect.

Violent Crimes Investigators are attempting to determine a motive to this incident.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
