A man who authorities said made daily deliveries of large quantities of "Ice" meth for months will have to serve almost 27 years in federal prison.
Martin Dodge was sentenced on Monday afternoon by Judge Sandy Mattice.
He received 262 months for the drug selling and a consecutive 60 months for use of a firearm.
Agents said they were informed last May 1 that "Marty" and TJ Sims were staying at the Comfort Inn on Williams Street and were in possession of four ounces of "Ice" meth. They were told that Sims was driving a red Nissan Sentra and a black Dodge Charger.
The Sentra was stopped on Williams Street and Sims was found to be driving without a license. Five ounces of "Ice" were found in his vehicle. He said three ounces came from Dodge and two ounces from another individual.
Sims admitted he sold the meth he got from Dodge.
The rental vehicle driven by Dodge was stopped when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Williams and 25th streets. He told police that there was a gun in the trunk of the car. Officers found two guns along with an ounce of "Ice" meth. Dodge said he carried the guns after being shot during a drug deal.
Also found were ledgers that recorded the meth sales.
Dodge said he obtained the meth from a source in Atlanta.
Orlando J. Evans got 30 months for selling crack cocaine.
Controlled buys of drugs were made from Evans after Chattanooga Police learned he was a seller.
