Business Owner Was World War II Veteran

Lloyd Cross, 91, of the Fairview Community, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence. 

Mr. Cross was a member of the Chickamauga and Cleveland Classic Car Club and he was also an active member of the Rossville Church of God where he had served as a Sunday School teacher and choir director.  He owned and operated Reliable TV Sales and Service in Rossville and he was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II

He was preceded in death by his parents, HD and Ida Cross; brothers and sisters-in-law, JD (Madge) Cross, Ramsey (Lucille) Cross, Fred (Juanita) Cross, and DM (Etta) Cross; and grandson, David Cross. 

Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Ruth Cross; four sons, Jim Cross, Tim (Janice) Cross, Ken (Karen) Cross, and Denny (Darlene) Cross; grandchildren, Laura (Cory) Owsley, Darrell (Karen) Cross, Christy Cross, Stephen Cross, and Michael Cross; several stepgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 13, at 8 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Robert Rudeseal officiating.

Interment will be at the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park on Monday at 1 p.m. with military honors.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 2-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
