Douglas Andrew Lemons, 23, of Ringgold passed away through this old carnal world to eternity in heaven with Jesus on June 8, 2014. 

He was born to Kenneth and Bridgett Lemons on July 29, 1990.  Andrew, or as his friends called him “Drew”, attended Parkway Baptist Church where he was baptized and he was a member of Crosspoint Church. He was active in Awana, attended Battlefield Elementary, LFO Middle School and LFO High School graduating in 2009. While attending LFO High School, Drew played and lettered in football wearing #51 on his jersey. He was one of the captains of the football team his senior year.  He enjoyed all sports and he never met a stranger.

Drew was preceded in death by his mother, Bridgett Lemons; brother, Josh Hickman; paternal grandfather, Kenneth Mac Lemons, Sr.; maternal grandmother, Ruth Bailey; paternal great-grandmother, Edna H. McDaniel.

Survivors include his father, Kenneth Mac Lemons, Jr. of Chattanooga; brother, Coy Ivestor of South Georgia; paternal grandmother, Kathy (Larry) Jones of Ringgold; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

2 Corinthians 5:8: "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 11, at 11 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Pastor Ed Shook officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens. 

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 10, from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
