Museum Of Flight Holds Open Hanger Event

  • Wednesday, February 26, 2014

The Museum of Flight, Chattanoooga’s Aviation Museum, will hold its annual Open Hanger Gala at 6 p.m., on Saturday, April 12, at Wilson Air Hanger at the Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport.

James Howard of Sunny 92.3 FM will be the master of ceremonies for the event that features dinner, dancing, a silent auction and the Ladies of Liberty singing trio, reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters.

Funds from the Open Hanger Gala will support the nonprofit museum and the silent auction proceeds are donated to Erlanger Children’s Hospital.

The Museum of Flight provides tours and gives airplane rides in the vintage aircraft that are located in the Hixson facility.  The mission of the museum is to increase the public’s awareness of aviation through the flight of historic aircraft while supporting the local children’s hospital.

For more information on attending the Open Hanger Gala, contact The Hixson Flight Museum at 423-228-2fly (2359) or Christine Lewis at 423 322-8209.
