Firefighters Deal With Two House Fires

Firefighters dealt with two structure fires early Tuesday morning.

At 4:30 a.m., the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 1434 Bradt St. It took four fire companies about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Damages to the home are around $60,000.

The American Red Cross is assisting the occupants.

At 5:24 a.m., the Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 4207 12th Ave.  It took four fire companies about 15 minutes to get the fire under control.

The structure was searched and no one was found.  No one was injured at this fire.

911 callers advised that the house was vacant and was occasionally used by homeless people.  The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
