Body Found In Tennessee River Wednesday Afternoon

A body was found in the Tennessee River on Wednesday afternoon. 

At approximately 1:42 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to a body found. The body was located in the river at/near 17600 Interstate 24.

Emergency crews and investigators are investigating.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call 423 698-2525. 

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
