Chattanooga Receives $2.1 Million Federal Grant To Expand Early Head Start

During a White House summit on Early Childhood Education, it was announced that the city of Chattanooga will receive a $2.1 Million Early Head Start-Child Care Partnership and Early Head Start Expansion grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

 

These funds will directly serve 150 additional at-risk children, aged birth to three years, who reside within the Chattanooga city limits.

 

The city of Chattanooga received the highest amount awarded in the state of Tennessee.
