J. Crew Will Open At Warehouse Row Wednesday

  • Thursday, November 13, 2014

Warehouse Row will reach a new milestone when J.Crew’s first signature store in the historic downtown property opens on Wednesday at 10 a.m. The 4,800 square-foot store fronts Building North along Market Street and features J.Crew’s full line of classic, tailored apparel and accessories.  J.Crew’s opening marks the first time since the 1930s a premier national retailer has set up shop in Chattanooga’s historic downtown retail corridor, said officials.

Review for J. Crew: Since its genesis as a catalog store in 1983, J.Crew has developed into one of the most recognizable retail brands in America. The success of the fashion powerhouse is rooted in the unique staying power of its clean, classic style, paired with the ongoing innovation of its annual clothing lines. Characterized by the ability to craft high-quality looks for shoppers that are both timeless and fresh, J.Crew is now a go-to destination for loyal customers, fashion designers and style bloggers.

The store will be open from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday, and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sunday.

Since acquiring the property in 2006, Jamestown has made a multi-million dollar investment in the historically authentic preservation of the century-old Warehouse Row property. The company has attracted retailers, restaurants and companies to its more than 295,000 square-feet of street-level retail, dining and upper-level creative lofts.

“The opening of national retailers, such as J.Crew, at Warehouse Row is a historic moment for our company and for Chattanooga’s increasingly vibrant downtown,” said Michael Phillips of Jamestown. “We are proud of what the property has become and the way it has been a key player in encouraging in-town development. We can expect a great deal more growth and activity from Warehouse Row over the next several months. ”
