Junior Winfield Fleming, age 75, of Summerville, Georgia, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence.
Mr. Fleming was born April 24, 1937 in Summerville, the son of the late Hugh Leonard Fleming and Eva Milinda Parckerson Fleming. He was a member of Cedarlake Christian Center. Mr. Fleming was retired from the Chattooga County Board of Education. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean Conflict. Other than his parents, Mr. Fleming was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Rutledge Fleming.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Tracy Fleming; daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie Angela anad Miles Bagley, Joyce Renea and Jeff Hurley, brother and sister-in-law, James and Sherry Fleming, sisters and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jerry Rutledge, Dorothy McLemore, grandchildren and spouses, Miles and Brittney Bagley, Isaiah Bagley, Elijah Hurley, Madison and Steven Blazer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, at Mason Funeral Home with Bishop David Huskins and Pastor Jack Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Johnson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Neil Hopper, Roger Hutchins, Kevin Lamp, Tony Brawder Fleming, Matt Tinsley, and Randy Puckett.
Mr. Fleming will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday. At other hours the family will receive friends at Berryton Bible Mission.
