Crime Stoppers: 1994 Murder Of Billie Gene Barnes In Walker County

Crime Stoppers and the Walker County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information regarding the murder of Billie Gene Barnes on Jan. 31, 1994.

Mr. Barnes’ body was found inside his vehicle on Old Lee Highway (Chattanooga Valley Road) in Walker County. This case has become cold without any leads as to who the suspect may be. Any information as to who may have seen Mr. Barnes earlier that night, or who Mr. Barnes may have been with would be helpful to the apprehension of the suspect. This would help give closure to the family from this traumatic event.
