Stella Beatrice Paulhamus, 80, of East Ridge, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving children. 

She was born Oct., 3, 1931, in Chattanooga Valley to John Wesley and Stella Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Paulhamus, brother, J. T. Brown, sister, Eugenia Brown and son-in-law, Bud Tumblin.

Mrs. Paulhamus was a charter member of Frawley Road Baptist Church and was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. She enjoyed her friends and family very much. A consummate homemaker, she loved cooking, and caring for her family as well as arts and crafts.  She retired as the food service director for Brainerd Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Wanda Tumblin, Laurens, SC; Bruce (Becky) Paulhamus, Chattanooga; Dodie (Jaci Fricks) Wolcott, CT; Carlene Renner, Chickamauga; Shellie (George) Holland, Ringgold; Perry Paulhamus, Landstuhl, Germany; Paula (Sergio) Bianchini; Chattanooga and Anita Tullar, Knoxville; brother Captain Robert Brown (U.S. Marines Ret.); sisters Margaret Noblin and Lovella Tibbetts; 21 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 1, in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Mr. Tommy Pierce officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Lance Pryor, Marty Tumblin, Josh Tumblin, Shannon Teeters, Carli Schoettler, Matt Harrell, Kraig Givens and Graham Brannon serving as pallbearers, honorary pallbearers are Bobby Craig, Johnny Gurley and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.
