Eric Lashawn McCurdy
A woman told police that Eric Lashawn McCurdy confronted her angrily and kicked her dog.
McCurdy, 38, of Union Avenue is charged with aggravated cruelty to animals in the incident last Tuesday. He was also charged with assault and disorderly conduct.
Tomiko McDonald said she got out of her car at the Country Hearth Inn where she lives. She said she put her puppy down "and it felt like someone was following me."
She said she turned around and saw McCurdy coming towards her.
She said he cursed her, saying he believed she knew something about his son getting beat up. She denied she knew anything about it.
She said when she started dialing 911 that McCurdy looked down at the six-week-old miniature pit bull terrier that weighed five pounds. He kicked the dog across the grass, then left, she said.
