Red Bank Neighborhood Pride Association, in collaboration with the City of Red Bank and the Red Bank Council of the Chamber of Commerce, announces that the 2012 Red Bank Jubilee Parade and New Moon Pie Festival will be on Saturday, April 21. The parade, featuring the biggest Moon Pie, starts at 10 a.m. with the festival activities starting immediately following. The festival will include craft and food vendors, entertainment and Moon Pie games.
“We are really looking forward to this year’s Jubilee and want to enhance this time-honored tradition with activities featuring Moon Pies since legend has it that the first Moon Pie ever was made in Red Bank,” said Erin Creal, chair of the festival. “We will have craft vendors with unique, hard-to-find items, children’s activities and entertainment. Right now, we are seeking craft vendors to apply for space.” Red Bank artisans get a discount for booth space.
Applications for booth space can be obtained by one of two ways: request a vendor packet from redbanknpa@gmail.com, or by picking them up at Red Bank City Hall. Vendor criteria and application instructions are included.
The event will be sponsored by Chattanooga Bakery, maker of the Moon Pie, and Big FM.
