Curbside Recycling Expanding To Include Businesses

  • Monday, November 5, 2012

The City of Chattanooga’s Department of Public Works announces the expansion of curbside recycle collection to businesses.

Businesses currently maintaining a City garbage container for service are now eligible for bi-weekly curbside recycle collection.  Customers can begin taking advantage of curbside recycle collection by calling 425-6311 to register a collection location and receive a service schedule.

The City will only collect eligible curbside recyclable materials which include all grades of paper products, cardboard, aluminum cans, tin cans, and all grades of plastics.  Recyclables will be collected on existing residential scheduled recycle collection service days and must be placed on the curbside in bags or inside containers with a lid securely fastened.  Loose recyclables will not be collected.

For more information please call 3-1-1 or 425-6311.
