Woman Airlifted, 2 Men Hurt In Dayton Pike Head-On Crash

A two-vehicle traffic crash in the 16900 block of Dayton Pike on Wednesday at approximately 5:10 p.m. injured two men and sent a woman to the hospital via LifeForce helicopter.

The sheriff's office said a red BMW driven by Amanda Maynor of Dayton, Tn., was traveling southbound on Dayton Pike when for unknown reasons she crossed the center lane and struck a brown Mazda traveling northbound. The Mazda was occupied by driver James Sneed and passenger Matthew Mears, both from Graysville, Tn.

The two men were transported to an area hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services, where they were treated and released.

Ms. Maynor was airlifted from the scene due to the seriousness of her injuries.

The traffic crash is currently under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
