UTC Featured On Cover Of AT&T Real Yellow Pages

  • Monday, July 12, 2010

UTC is featured on the cover of the 2010 AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory, and the smaller, more portable companion directory. Showcased is the Mocs’ football team with an action shot of former defensive end Josh Beard breaking past a block set by an opponent.

The coverage area includes Georgetown and Soddy-Daisy including Apison, Collegedale, Ooltewah-Tenn., Chickamauga, High Point, Kensington, Lafayette, Noble, Ringgold, Rising Fawn, Trenton, Villanow and West Brow-Ga.

More than 500,000 copies of the directories have been produced for distribution in the area this year. Delivery begins Wednesday and runs through Aug. 11. The companion directory complements the core directory, and is a smaller, more portable companion directory for on-the-go customers. Both directories will also be available to new residents and businesses throughout the year.

“We are proud to feature The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on the cover of our new AT&T Real Yellow Pages directory for the Chattanooga area,” said Mary Stewart Lewis, external affairs director, AT&T. “We continually work to make our directory covers special on the outside, and tailor the community information inside our directories to best meet the needs of local residents and businesses."

“We are happy The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Mocs are featured on the new directory covers,” said UTC Chancellor Roger Brown. “When Chattanoogans reach for the AT&T Real Yellow Pages they’ll see Chattanooga’s Team.”

As new books are delivered, Chattanooga-area businesses and residents are encouraged to recycle their outdated directories. AT&T Real Yellow Pages directories are recyclable, and the paper used to print the directories contains recycled materials. Residents and businesses can call the AT&T Real Yellow Pages Project ReDirectory help line, listed on the directory cover, at 800-953-4400 for directory recycling information in this community.

AT&T Real Yellow Pages is also working with several Chattanooga businesses to encourage people to recycle outdated directories. For each old directory turned in, the following participating businesses will offer a discounted admission price:

The Tennessee Aquarium and IMAX Theatre
The Discovery Museum
The Chattanooga Zoo
The Chattanooga Lookouts

Each of these businesses will promote specifics about the discounts, and other information regarding the promotion, on their websites and at each location.

The recycling campaign runs from July 12 through Aug. 15, and the discounts from the various businesses can be used through Sept. 30.
