Virginia Marie Martin, 81, of Chattanooga, died on Thursday, August 27, 2009.
She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. She was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga and was an actress on Broadway during the 1950’s and 1960’s.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy T. and Harville Martin and a brother, Donald B. Martin.
Survivors include her brother, Jere E. and wife Rosellen Martin of Harrison, Tn., and a sister-in-law, Peggy Martin of Nashville; nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at St. John United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sherry Boles officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
