Chattanooga’s Sunny 92.3, WDEF-FM has been chosen the winner for “Radio Station of the Year” by the leading industry trade publication Radio and Records at its 2006 convention.
“This is a testament to the dedication and commitment of an exceptional group of broadcasters who create a great listening experience for one of America’s greatest cities,” said Sunny 92.3 Director of Programming and Operations Danny Howard.
Sunny 92.3 joins WLTW in New York City, and WRRM in Cincinnati, the major and large market winners for 2006. The station had previously been a finalist for this award in 2005 as well as three other occasions over the past seven years.
Each year stations are nominated by leading radio executives based upon ratings, musical integrity, commitment to the community which it serves, as well as recognition within the radio industry.
