David Wayne Case, 66, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

He was a lifelong resident of St. Elmo. Wayne was a graduate of Lookout Jr. High School and Kirkman Technical High School. He was a former member of UA Local 43 Plumbers and Steamfitters.

Wayne was a founding member of Humphreys Florist’s softball team and also played for the Local 43 softball team.

He was preceded in death by his father, James N. Case.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Ann Drinnon Case; brother, Alan (Becky) Case; sister, Elaine (Chip) O’Dell; nephews, Jake (Cara) Case and Logan (Katy) O’Dell; nieces, Rachel (Brandon) Wooten and Jennifer O’Dell; several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Eddie Cantrell officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
