Guitarist Jason Vieaux will be in concert Monday, Sept. 24, at 7:30 p.m., followed by a reception in Key-Andrews Parish Hall. General admission is $10 and students, $5.
Jason Vieaux is a musician noted for virtuosic and stirring performances, immaginative programming, and uncommon communicative gifts. His CDs and live performances are regularly broadcast on radio and the internet and he writes on various classical music topics for National Public Radio's "Deceptive Cadence" blog series.
In 2011 he co-founded wih guitarist David Starobin the Curtis Institute of Music Guitar Department. He has been head of the Guitar Department of the Cleveland Institute of Music since 2001 and is also affiliated with Philadelphia's Astral Artists, with whom he gives annual concerts.
