For the second year in a row, Morning Pointe stepped up as the Queen Bee sponsor for Re:Start's 'Great Grown Up Spelling Bee' promoting adult literacy. Once again, residents from the Chattanooga area assisted living communities were eager for the challenge and excited about representing Morning Pointe.

Montine Craig, 86, a retired nurse, and Van Robinson, 84, a steel mill shipper took center stage at the Chattanooga Market and did not slow down during the individual speed rounds for the spell off. They were the two oldest spellers and were so excited to be a part of the event.

"I enjoyed it very much and am so glad I did not stay home," said Ms. Craig. Mr. Robinson agreed. He was thrilled to jump in and feels very passionate about the cause. "It's important for everybody to get an education and a college education."

"That's why we are one of the top sponsors of this event," said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe CEO, "we understand the importance of education and the impact it has in changing lives."

Scandals At Home And Abroad

Since my hip operation and time in recovery, I have tried to set aside things that are insignificant to me and to average Americans. Don't get me wrong here. What these people are doing (Bengahzi) is despicable be they left or right wing, and they have been doing it (both sides) for a long time. But the dirty deeds themselves carry little weight as to what they mean to you or me. ... (click for more)

Roy Exum: 50 Facts About Our Bodies

Maybe 20 years ago I became entranced by a book called “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.” It was co-authored by a surgeon, Paul Brand, and a Christian writer, Phillip Yancey, and gave one specific after another about the human body and how only God could have created such a miraculous machine. Today the book is a classic and I have marveled ever since over how unbelievable human ... (click for more)
