It has been a privilege to travel throughout Hamilton and Bradley counties over the past five months, meeting hundreds of incredible people along the way and making new friends during my race for State Senate in District 10. The friendships I have made will always be cherished. To all the volunteers who campaigned tirelessly with me, to all my contributors who believed in me, and to all my supporters who voted for me, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I was with the purest of intentions that I decided to run for State Senate, which was to continue my track record of public service to my community. I am deeply humbled by the support of our shared vision for the future of Bradley and Hamilton Counties. While we came up a few votes short, I want each of you to know how much I appreciate all of the prayers, hard work and investment you made in my campaign.
There is one person I cannot possibly thank enough, that is my wife, Carlene, who campaigned alongside me, with unrivaled tenacity and always supportive throughout this entire process. This has been an interesting journey for both of us and one that we will always remember.
I look forward to getting back to the business of running my company, Morning Pointe, and creating more jobs in the private sector. I am also excited about continuing my volunteer work with the many non-profits in our community that make such a difference. Thank you again to everyone who believed in me and showed your support.
