Lowe, Sherry Y. (Cleveland)

Sherry Y. Lowe, 39, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 after a seven year battle with breast cancer. 

She was involved in the Bradley County Chapter of Relay for Life, and a member of East Side church of Christ. She was employed at Brown Stove Works for 10 years, and for the past four years she was employed at the south side Wal-Mart. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty McAlister; maternal grandparents, Wilburn and Bertha Kyle; paternal grandparents, Thurston and Irene McAlister; and brother, Paul Graham. 

Survivors include her parents, Larry and Linda McAlister of Cleveland; three daughters, Courtney Crittenden and husband Casey, Darlene Lowe, and Whittley Lowe all of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Riley Crittenden, Isaiah Reed, Jayden Moore, Trinity Moore and Ethan Kyker; one sister, Kimberly Graham of Livingston; and two brothers, Danny McAlister and Doug McAlister and wife Teresa all of Cleveland. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, at East Side church of Christ with Ministers Jeff Archey and Bill Maynard officiating. Interment will follow in Union Grove Church of God of Prophesy Cemetery in Charleston. Jacob Reed, Colby Keller, Madison Bishop, Ronald Wade, Ronnie Keller, and David Kyle will serve as pallbearers. Steve Core will serve as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. 

Her family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 8 and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 at Fike Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.

On Sherry’s behalf, it was her request that Dr. Sylvia Krueger and her staff be recognized and thanked for their comfort and care during her battle with cancer.

Betty Faye Williamson, 54, of Copperhill, died on May 16, 2013.  She was born in Salisbury, N..,C and raised in Chattanooga. She worked at Animal Clinic East for 12 years and was a big animal lover. A woman was found dead on Sunday morning at 8912 Lovell Road, and police are seeking a "person of interest" in the case.
