Local Ingredients From Summer Harvest Featured At 17 Local Restaurants

Monday, August 06, 2012

Harvested Here Restaurant Week, sponsored by Gaining Ground, begins Monday and continues through Sunday. Restaurant Week showcases a variety of restaurants all committed to sourcing locally grown and raised ingredients from farms within 100 miles of Chattanooga.

“We’ve always featured many local ingredients on our menu but it’s good to see an organized effort of many other local restaurants coming together to promote the importance of eating locally,” said Erik Niel, owner and chef of Easy Bistro & Bar. “We’re glad to support our local farmers, and we are proud to always offer delicious, fresh, local food in our restaurant.”

Restaurants participating in the summer edition of Restaurant Week will create special menus, at a great price, that highlight local ingredients.
